He is currently regarded as the Philippines' greatest hero. But there was a time when he struggled to make a living as a street vendor. Manny Pacquiao was born in a remote rural area of the Philippines in 1978. 

His family was very poor. From the age of five, he had to catch fish to help support the household financially.Manny dropped out of elementary school after his father abandoned the family, leaving them without money.

His mother taught him the value of hard work. As a young boy, Manny had to sell various items like donuts on the streets to make a living. Despite working hard, Manny's situation didn't improve, and  he eventually moved in with his uncle.

Manny became interested in boxing while watching Mike Tyson fights at this time period. 

Manny was just 12 years old when his uncle, a former boxer, saw his increasing interest in the boxing and began to train him. Manny put in a lot of training because he thought that boxing was the only way he could support his family. 

After six months of boxing, he won the community boxing competition. The prize for victory in the rural village boxing matches, however, was only about $2, and losing meant getting only $1. He  worked in a blacksmith shop during the day, struggling to make ends meet.

He went to Manila to participate in bigger matches. He joined an amateur boxing team that offered housing and began training there. He earned fight money by entering the ring tirelessly. In every match, he displayed relentless determination to win.

Manny had a record of 60 wins and 4 losses throughout his amateur career. Even so, he made the decision to enter the professional boxing ring because his family was having trouble making ends meet. He was only 16 years old at the time. 

He was too young to be a professional boxer, but he lied about his age to start a boxing career. Despite not meeting the age requirements, he pretended to be 18 to become a professional boxer.

After turning professional, Manny drew immediate attention from the boxing community after winning his first 11 fights. His popularity soared with each victory. 

He eventually was given the chance to challenge for the WBC flyweight title, one of the major boxing organizations. 

His opponent was the champion, Chatchai Sasakul, who had an impressive record of 33 wins and 1 loss at the time. Manny, on the other hand, knocked him out in the eighth round to become the new champion.

He was only 19 years old when he made this achievement. Manny Pacquiao then decided to move up two weight classes. Many people were initially concerned about his decision because moving up two weight classes in a combat sport is a difficult challenge. 

Manny quieted doubts by defeating multiple opponents in his new weight class. With each fight, he left his opponents and worries behind.

To advance in his career, Manny Pacquiao sets his sights on the United States. He didn't get a lot of attention at first. The broadcasters had difficulty pronouncing his name correctly. 

Manny, on the other hand, proved his abilities and let his performances speak for themselves. 

Manny Pacquiao started gaining fame by defeating IBF super bantamweight champion Lehlo Ledwaba. He kept thriving in his fights with strong determination and eventually achieved the incredible feat of becoming an 8-division champion. 

This record remains unbeaten even today. Due to his entertaining in-fighting style, he became a fan favorite and was well-liked by the audience.

During the same period, another superstar emerged in the United States, the undefeated legend, Floyd Mayweather. Fans all across the world were looking forward to a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. They wanted to see who was the best boxer.

However, the ideal fight between the two boxers took a long time to come true. Finally, in 2015, the long-awaited clash between the two boxers took place. Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather both earned a lot before the fight. Their earnings reached an incredible 2.5 billion dollars.

The VIP tickets were also in high demand, being traded for around $250,000. Despite losing the battle, Manny Pacquiao received a purse of approximately $100 million USD. 

It's difficult to call him a loser considering the huge amount he received. Manny Pacquiao is known for his generosity despite coming from a difficult background. He gives a large portion of his wealth to charity, donating homes to the needy and providing scholarships to young boxers. 

He also donates medical supplies to disadvantaged places and volunteers regularly. Manny Pacquiao is known for donating almost half of his earnings to charitable organizations.  

Such charity has earned him enormous popularity among the people of the Philippines. 

He is currently serving as a senator due to his rising popularity. In the presidential election, he came in third place with an outstanding showing.  

In addition to being a politician, Manny Pacquiao also owns hotels and boxing gyms. 

Manny has everything. He's successful in sports, popular, wealthy. He's also involved in various activities, like business and politics. Manny Pacquiao is progressing in various fields, but we don't know what he'll do next. His future endeavors remain uncertain.
