LEE KANG IN, a soccer genius and world-class dribbler, was born on February 19, 2001, in  South Korea. Inspired by his father, a passionate soccer fan and a fan of Maradona, he received a soccer ball as a gift at a young age and fell in love with the sport.

A soccer genius and world-class dribbler - Lee Kang In

He developed his skills by playing with older siblings and practicing regularly with his father.

As a left-footed player, he displayed excellent ball control and a passion for the game from an early age. He showcased his soccer talent on the TV show at the age of 7, impressing everyone with his abilities despite tough competition.

Later, he joined Incheon United Youth Club and aspired to become a professional soccer player and win the Champions League. His father, believing in his talent and passion for soccer, took him to Spain to train in Taekwondo to enhance his skills for his soccer journey.

This led LEE KANG IN to join the prestigious Valencia CF youth team, where he began his European soccer career.

During his early days, he admired players like Messi, Maradona, and Park Ji-sung, with Barcelona being his dream club. As he matured, he looked up to David Silva as his role model.

At 10 years old, he displayed exceptional cardiovascular endurance, ranking among the top 0.1% of young athletes in a fitness test. His coach Yoo Sang-cheol praised him as an extraordinary talent, already possessing skills comparable to those of adult players.

In 2011, LEE KANG IN joined Valencia CF's youth team and went on to be recognized as the best player in various international youth tournaments.

In 2013, he scored four goals in a competition among 12 teams and was selected as a top player, leading to comparisons with Cristiano Ronaldo.

With his innate skills, vision, and ability to use both feet adeptly, his talents caught the attention of European football clubs such as Barcelona, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich, as he showcased tactical awareness and the importance of defensive play during various news and competitions.

In response to the growing interest in LEE KANG IN, Valencia CF offered him a long-term contract in 2013, securing his services by setting a buyout clause of 3 million Euro and promising full financial support for his family's living expenses in Spain.

To show his gratitude, he led Valencia to victory in the 2015 Copa Del Mar tournament, where he received the MVP award.

At a remarkable age of 16, he made his professional debut faster than Son Heung-min, becoming a highly promising talent within the team.

His outstanding performances earned him a place in the U-18 national team and later led to him becoming the ace midfielder for the senior national team.

Since settling in Spain with his family at the young age of elementary school fourth grade, LEE KANG IN became fluent in Spanish, even considering and dreaming in Spanish more comfortably than in Korean.

At a crucial moment when LEE KANG IN was transitioning from a highly anticipated prospect to a key player, he faced challenges at Valencia CF as his playing time decreased due to a mismatch with the coach's tactics. Consequently, he requested a transfer from the club.

Initially, Valencia CF considered loaning him out rather than transferring him permanently, but with the signing of Brazilian forward Marcos André, they already had four non-European players, which led them to release LEE KANG IN on a free transfer.

On August 30, 2021, the official announcement from RCD Mallorca confirmed his move, signing a four-year contract and being assigned the number 19 jersey.

Mallorca's coach, Luis Garcia Plaza, is known for using midfielder-oriented tactics like 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1. The club emphasized that LEE KANG IN would strengthen their central play, highlighting their trust and confidence in him through official press releases.

After his move to RCD Mallorca, LEE KANG IN gradually increased his playing time in his first season and helped uplift the team's performance at home. In the following 2022-23 season, he fully adapted and consistently showcased fantastic performances.

Despite initial concerns that Mallorca might face relegation with little chance of success, LEE KANG IN played a crucial role in leading the team to a mid-table position, successfully completing his first full-time season in his career.

With an impressive record of 6 goals and 6 assists, he achieved double-digit points in the league, demonstrating significant improvements in all aspects of his game.

His defensive contributions, physical abilities, and sharpened kicking skills have elevated him to the top class of players in the entire top 5 European leagues.

In such a position where he was highly anticipated as a global prospect, LEE KANG IN made a bold move to join Mallorca, a team struggling to avoid relegation. However, he showcased his strong mental fortitude and skills, proving his true worth.

Moreover, he relentlessly worked on improving his weaknesses, such as speed, physicality, and defensive contribution, and within just a year, he managed to triple his market value.

Despite his young age, he displays a mature attitude and mindset in constantly seeking to enhance his game and compensate for his flaws. I have immense respect for his dedication to continuous development and growth.

Currently, he has transferred to Paris Saint-Germain, where he will be playing alongside stars like Neymar.

At just 22 years old, he has a bright future ahead of him. I can't help but be excited and eagerly look forward to how he will perform when he reaches the prime of his football career in the next five years.
