It is an unprecedented feat for a Korean artist to top the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, but that is exactly what BTS's Jimin has achieved. Not only has he reached the number one spot as part of the group, but he has also done so as a solo artist, making him the first Korean artist to hold both titles simultaneously.

Jimin's first solo album, "FACE," features the title track "LIKE CRAZY," a poignant song that juxtaposes powerful synths and drums with his haunting vocals, which he wrote himself. Inspired by the film of the same name, Jimin describes the song as expressing the emotions of turning away from reality to avoid getting hurt.

Billboard ,today 3 April, unveiled the top 10 songs on its Hot 100 singles chart for the week, and "LIKE CRAZY" has triumphantly claimed the number one spot, surpassing many other popular songs.

"I'm so grateful to all of you for loving the song, and I'm proud of BTS and everyone who worked on it together," Jimin expressed humbly.

BTS has been making history on the Billboard charts for some time, with six singles reaching the top spot since "Dynamite" in 2020, including "My Universe" in 2021. Jimin's achievement as a solo artist adds to their legacy, and he is now the first Korean artist to hold the number one spot on the Hot 100 as both a solo artist and a group member.

PSY's "Gangnam Style" previously held the record for the highest-charting song by a solo Korean artist, peaking at number two on the Hot 100 chart for seven consecutive weeks. Jimin is determined to continue working hard and improving, saying, "I still have a long way to go, but I'll keep moving forward slowly but surely."

It's worth noting that Jimin also co-wrote "LIKE CRAZY" with BTS member RM, who has achieved the feat of having four number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, including "Butter" and "My Universe."
